The purpose of the Oklahoma Native Plant Society is to encourage the study, protection, propagation, appreciation and use of Oklahoma's native plants.
Austin College and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas's (BRIT) online presentation of Shinners & Mahlers Illustrated Flora of North Central Texas represents the first major portion of the Texas flora to be available digitally. Keys, descriptions, and illustrations for more than 2,200 species (nearly 46% of Texas plants) are available in Adobe pdf format. Extensive introductory materials, color photographs, appendices, glossary, literature cited, and an index are also available online total of over 1,600 pages.
The PLANTS Database provides standardized information about the vascular plants, mosses, liverworts, hornworts, and lichens of the U.S. and its territories. It includes names, plant symbols, checklists, distributional data, species abstracts, characteristics, images, plant links, references, crop information, and automated tools.
