    3. Focus:
      1. Eco-OSU will focus on two campaigns this semester. Everyone should sign up on the committee of one of these two issues.

        2. Recycling: This is our campaign to get campus-wide recycling.
      2. Special Issues: Anything outside the group, but related to environmental causes which someone would like help with from Eco-OSU. Bring these to Troy at least one week in advance of the meeting to get on the agenda
  3. Earth Day:
Earth day is April 22nd this year, although since that is a Sunday we will hold the event on a different day., to be decided by the Event Organizing Committee. There will be two committees working on Earth Day:
    1. Fundraising Committee: Money is needed for stuff like the stage and the bands. Last year cost us $400, but we only paid half the cost of the stage due to Jesus Week. We can expect to spend at least $600 this year.
      1. There are two ways of getting money:
        1. Sponsors: both community members and local businesses
        2. SGA funding

The first campaign they will be working on is to get the Virtual Bean to buy fair trade coffee, which is environmentally sustainable, and pays the small farmers a living wage. Eco-OSU could easily tie into this through the environmental sustainability link. More information will be forthcoming.
  5. Split into committees. No minutes available, contact the committee heads to get involved in planning.
  6. Open Discussion:
    1. Christi asked about the other committees from last semester. Troy replied that they simply collapsed due to lack of organization.
    2. Regarding the recycling committee: hopefully Coleman Smith, the chair, will be at the next meeting.
    3. The next meeting will be two weeks from today, the room will be announced later.
