Though the Alpha Chapter holds a special significance as the mother chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi, it has been able to take a more direct role in some instances. The Alpha Chapter has been fortunate to serve as the advising or installing chapter for the following list. Chapters and schools are listed, followed by the installation year.

* Gamma was rechartered in 1993 by the Iota Pi chapter.

**Alumni brothers of Alpha made up the installation team for Alpha Upsilon. It was rechartered in 1972 by the Psi chapter, but later went inactive for a second time.

***The Kappa and Beta Iota chapters also assisted with Beta Tau's colony process.

****The Delta chapter acted as advising chapter for Epsilon Zeta - Alpha provided the installation team due to Delta's unavailability on the designated date.
